BUSINESS ICONS 2015

Business icons is another social program of the Wrocław Chamber of Commerce. Its aim is to honour entrepreneurs who have already made their first steps in business during the period of economic transformation and are still active in this area of ​​their lives. Honoring people who have developed their businesses have survived the clash with the open, free market of Europe and the capital of Western corporations. Thanks to their work, the companies that run have become widely known and appreciated.

There were 246 applications to the plebiscite, of which several dozen entrepreneurs were selected. The criteria for selecting nominees for the title were:

1. A minimum of 20 years of documented economic activity in the private sector.
2. Relative to the industry revenues throughout the entire period of activity.
3. Position of the industry / sector leader on the local market.
4. No criminal record for intentional crimes.
5. High employment relative to the industry.
6. Regulated legal and property situation of the enterprise.
7. Lack of public and legal arrears.
8. Social activity.

The jury of the plebiscite formed:

The exclusive book contains a collection of interviews with businessmen who have achieved success, and at the same time helped in the development of our city. They told about their way to success. It is a fascinating reading, not only for historians and businessmen.

The Book of Icons in Wrocław (texts and editorial staff – Marcin Torz, photos and project – Maciej Dudzik) is the first and only one. It was created in a limited edition of 100 pieces.
