Unveiling the monument of Ignacy Jan Paderewski

On Saturday, June 16, on the Tadka Jasińskiego boulevard, at the intersection of the Staromiejska promenade with Krupnicza Street, a monument of Ignacy Jan Paderewski made by the sculptor Tomasz Wenklar was unveiled. The ceremony was attended by president Rafał Dutkiewicz and funders of the initiative – Business Icons, of which lawer Andrzej Malicki, is a member. The erection of Paderewski’s bust is to commemorate the anniversary of the liberation of Poland after 123 years of captivity. This is one of the elements of the celebrations in Wrocław Independence Day in 2018.

– Thanks to everyone who contributed to the creation of the monument. We are proud of the inhabitants of Wrocław, proud Poles and proud Europeans – President Rafał Dutkiewicz said during the speech.
